FedEx Ground increased non–conveyable throughput volume

FedEx Ground, a major package delivery company, faced significant logistical challenges in handling non-conveyable and oversized shipments at its hubs. The manual process of transporting these items was draining productivity and creating bottlenecks. Seeking an autonomous solution, FedEx Ground tested AGVs and AMRs from several vendors, ultimately selecting Vecna Robotics for its high-capacity Autonomous Mobile Robots.

Vecna Robotics implemented its self-driving Autonomous Tuggers, which freed up employees from manual driving and loading tasks. The solution provided high uptime and the ability to adapt to new routes in real-time within the dynamic facility. As a result, the FedEx Ground hub in Greensboro processed 30% more non-conveyable volume and identified 20% more workflow improvements through analytics provided by Vecna Robotics.
