Global Networking Equipment Service Provider, a top global vendor of network routers for governments and large enterprises, wanted to strengthen the security of its flagship router amid rising cyberattacks and growing customer and regulatory demand for secure devices. Its existing in-house customized code-scanning approach produced too many findings, lacked context on real-world impact, and made it difficult for developers to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.

Global Networking Equipment Service Provider chose the Vdoo device security platform, using Vdoo Vision to analyze the router’s binary image and guide remediation, then evaluating Vdoo ERA to mitigate remaining Linux kernel vulnerabilities without risky code changes. In the first analysis, Vdoo identified 17 high-impact issues in about 48 minutes; after six days of remediation, almost all were fixed, and a follow-up analysis confirmed all high-impact exposures and all but one CVE were resolved. The remaining kernel issue was addressed through an ERA agent, enabling stronger security with faster validation and less internal effort.
