How Waltons Namibia Transformed IT With Vasion Print

Waltons Namibia, a leading supplier of office stationery, IT, and cleaning products with branches and warehouses across the country, was overwhelmed by persistent printing problems that consumed a large share of IT’s time. Using a traditional Windows print server and terminal server setup, the team faced frequent failures with dot-matrix and other printers, leading to as many as 25 support calls a day and disrupting sales, customer service, and internal operations. Vasion Print was brought in to solve the issue.

Vasion Print from Vasion replaced the unreliable print infrastructure with a centralized, serverless solution that worked across Waltons Namibia’s 58 printers in 14 locations and supported secure network isolation for copy shop services. The rollout was quick and smooth, and print-related tickets dropped by 99%, from about 120 per week to fewer than one. Waltons also recovered about 90% of IT time for strategic work, improved user confidence in IT, and freed the team to focus on larger initiatives like Microsoft Dynamics 365 and future document automation projects.
