A Vasion Case Study
Government Agency, a county-wide organization that handles direct services for constituents, faced time-consuming, error-prone paper and digital form management—processing more than 1,600 documents per day—with misread QR codes and caseworkers manually selecting from 74 form types. To solve this, the agency implemented Vasion’s cloud-based solution integrated with Amazon Web Services to digitize and streamline workflows.
Vasion leveraged native AWS integrations (using AWS Textract and Amazon Comprehend, and storing data in Amazon S3) to scan, categorize and load documents, reduce form types from 74 to five, automate identification, and improve QR-code accuracy even on low-resolution scans. The migration from Captiva/Documentum took a few months; the result was a drastic reduction in errors and time spent on physical document management, continued handling of 1,600+ documents per day with fewer filing errors, and freed caseworkers to focus more on constituent work.
