Aquafin, a Belgian wastewater-infrastructure company with 100 offices and more than 1,000 users, struggled to manage hundreds of Novell printers across 100 locations, migrate that environment to Microsoft Active Directory, and ultimately eliminate print servers without losing functionality. To solve this, Aquafin engaged Vasion and deployed the PrinterLogic print-management platform to gain centralized visibility and control.

Vasion implemented PrinterLogic to centrally provision and configure printers across all sites, enable a seamless migration from Novell to Microsoft (including a staged deployment to four print servers), and finally eliminate all print servers while still supporting over 1,000 employees. The result, delivered by Vasion, was centralized management from a single console, a decade-long stable deployment across 100 locations, and a significant reduction in print-related help-desk calls and server-management overhead.
