APi Group - Customer Case Study

APi Group, Inc., the parent company of 38 independently managed construction and fire-protection businesses with roughly 160 offices and 9,000 employees, faced a fragmented print environment grown through acquisitions—160 print servers, no centralized visibility, and a high volume of printer-related help desk calls. To consolidate and simplify printing across its distributed, international estate, APi Group chose Vasion’s web-based enterprise print management solution to enable centralized control and easier printer installation for end users.

Vasion implemented centrally managed Direct IP printing, deployed a single driver repository distributed to all 160 sites, and provided a self-service portal so employees can add printers themselves. As a result APi standardized its print environment, eliminated the need for on-site print servers (targeting removal of all 160 servers), enabled transparent driver updates across locations, and dramatically reduced help-desk calls and server rebuild costs—delivering clear cost savings and a strong ROI.
