A Vasion Case Study
The Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, which serves a population of about 630,000 with 600+ staff across headquarters and more than 25 remote sites, was hampered by an unreliable mix of direct IP printing and a Windows print server that made remote printing difficult, generated frequent help‑desk calls, and created heavy administrative overhead. To address these issues, the agency engaged Vasion to provide a centralized print‑management solution.
Vasion deployed a centralized print-management platform with policy-based driver installation and a single admin console, enabling dispatchers and other staff to print to remote printers from local workstations. The rollout took roughly three days and delivered strong results: print-related service desk calls dropped an estimated 95% (within 72 hours), the printer fleet was reduced from ~200 to 50 (about a 75% reduction), new-printer rollouts now take ~5 minutes instead of weeks, and the organization estimates roughly 50 man-hours saved per month. Vasion’s solution also positioned the agency to add mobile and pull printing capabilities for BYOD and confidential workflows.
