A Vasion Case Study
Centria, a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer with five locations and over 800 employees, faced a fragmented print environment that relied on local print servers. Installing printers, updating drivers, and supporting traveling employees and contractors required site visits and generated a high volume of service-desk calls. After evaluating solutions, Centria selected Vasion’s Vasion Print as a web-based, centrally managed enterprise print-management platform.
Vasion implemented Vasion Print’s single-console management and self-service installation portal, eliminating Centria’s print servers and enabling automatic driver distribution across all sites. The change cut printer installation time from several days (previously about three days) to just a few hours, nearly eliminated printer-related service calls, and let Centria manage printing for all five locations and 800+ users from one web interface.
