Guthrie, a non-profit integrated healthcare system with more than 5,000 employees across 40+ locations, faced time-consuming, error-prone printer deployments in its Epic environment and a high volume of print-related help-desk calls—especially for roaming staff who needed to print from different clinics. To address these issues, Guthrie selected Vasion and its web-based print management solution to simplify Epic printing, enable easy printer deployment, and reduce IT overhead.

Vasion implemented a single-console, web-based print-management platform with a self-service printer installation portal, automated driver distribution, and the ability to eliminate local Epic print servers. As a result, Guthrie can manage printers across all sites from one pane of glass, employees can find and install the nearest printer with a click, print-server infrastructure was removed, and help-desk calls related to printing have been nearly eliminated—saving substantial time and money and shortening EPS deployment by roughly a month.
