Case Study: Aon achieves enterprise-wide print standardization and 24,000-user migration with Vasion

A Vasion Case Study

Aon improves efficiencies using PrinterLogic

Aon needed to stabilize and standardize a fragmented global print environment after rapid growth and acquisitions, including a large migration from Novell iPrint to Microsoft Active Directory and selective secure printing requirements across 40 offices. To address this, Aon engaged Vasion to deploy a web-based enterprise print management solution (using Aon Global Printers with PrinterLogic technology) that would be simple for administrators and end users and efficient to deploy.

Vasion implemented a centrally managed direct IP printing model (AGP with PrinterLogic), stabilizing Canada’s 40 offices in nine months, enabling cross-domain printing, and converting 24,000 users across 100 offices to an AD-based environment. The solution standardized driver delivery for more than 200 offices and 4,000 printer objects, supported uniFLOW and native drivers from a single interface, reduced server hardware and support calls, and scaled to an expected 40,000 Aon colleagues on AGP—delivering measurable operational and cost improvements under Vasion’s implementation.
