Fulton County School System - Customer Case Study

Fulton County School System, the fourth-largest district in Georgia serving nearly 100,000 students across about 100 schools, struggled with an unwieldy print environment: 3,600 diverse printers, 60,000 workstations and multiple virtual print servers that caused performance, VM-host and deployment headaches. To modernize printing and simplify Active Directory–based deployments, the district engaged Vasion’s print-management solution and professional services.

Vasion provided one-on-one professional services for an enterprise-scale rollout, implemented role-based access control to remove GPO complexity, enabled a self-service printer portal, and deployed native pull-printing (badge/PIN release) for secure, convenient printing. The result was centralized printing management, decommissioned unnecessary print servers, fewer support tickets, faster printer deployment turnaround, cleaner AD/OU-based deployments and freed IT staff to focus on higher-value work — with self-service handling the majority of installs.
