OhioHealth - Customer Case Study

OhioHealth, a not-for-profit healthcare system based in Columbus, faced major printing challenges after deploying Epic: built-in Microsoft utilities were ineffective, configuring printers had to be done on each Epic print server, and managing a distributed environment across 25 locations was becoming untenable as they planned to grow from about 400 to 4,000 printers. To address these issues they evaluated and selected Vasion Print (formerly PrinterLogic).

Vasion deployed its web-based Vasion Print solution to provide single-console management of all Epic print servers and printers, centralized push updates, and built-in auditing and exportable reporting. As a result OhioHealth now monitors and manages all 25 locations from one console, can push one configuration update across all servers (drastically cutting deployment and troubleshooting time), and reports saving “hundreds of hours” in deployment/troubleshooting—enabling cost-effective, scalable growth.
