A Vasion Case Study
AAA Carolinas, a two‑million‑member organization with about 2,000 employees across nearly 60 locations, was burdened by aging 2003 print servers, a heterogeneous printer fleet, rising print costs and a four‑person helpdesk swamped with print support—problems made more urgent by an upcoming PCI compliance initiative. To standardize hardware and simplify management they engaged Vasion to deliver a centralized, enterprise print‑management solution alongside a managed Ricoh printing arrangement.
Vasion implemented a serverless, centrally managed printing solution that eliminated branch print servers, enforced economical defaults (duplex/grayscale/economy tray), provided granular reporting and added a self‑service portal for quick driver/printer deployment. As a result, Vasion helped AAA Carolinas power off legacy servers, reduce print‑related helpdesk calls by up to 50 per week, cut consumables and color waste, and free roughly 60–70% of former data‑center capacity—improving security, lowering costs and boosting IT productivity.
