Navicent Health - Customer Case Study

Navicent Health, a multi-site nonprofit healthcare system with more than 30 locations and 1,000 beds, faced persistent printing problems in its VMware VDI and Cerner PowerWorks environment. Multiple virtual printer pools, dependence on group policy and rights management, and frequent firmware/IP mismatches created ongoing deployment issues and a steady stream of print-related support tickets. Vasion was engaged to address these challenges using the PrinterLogic print-management solution.

Vasion implemented PrinterLogic to consolidate clustered printer pools, deploy printers automatically by terminal MAC address, and eliminate the need for group policy and complex rights management. The change made printer updates instantaneous across the environment, cut print-related support calls to virtually zero, reduced onsite visits from daily troubleshooting to roughly once a month, and delivered payback in about six to eight months—freeing IT staff to focus on higher‑value initiatives.
