A Vasion Case Study

Northwest Area Education Agency - Customer Case Study

Northwest Area Education Agency, a regional education service in northwest Iowa serving roughly 45,000 students across 35 districts and 30+ private schools, faced a fragmented hybrid print environment (macOS direct IP printing alongside a Windows print server) that made centralized management, mobile/secure printing and activity monitoring difficult. Vasion was engaged to deliver a cloud-based print management SaaS to unify printing across platforms and simplify administration.

Vasion implemented centralized administration with self‑service printer installation, native Mobile and Secure Printing, and in‑depth reporting across the distributed environment. As a result, IT support calls for printer installs have dropped, end users can install printers in about 60 seconds, admins gain visibility to identify high-volume users and trace lease overages, and IT staff have reclaimed time for other projects—demonstrating a measurable reduction in print-related support effort thanks to Vasion.
