A Vasion Case Study
Princeton Community Hospital, a 267‑bed medical and surgical center in West Virginia with roughly 1,100 staff and a distributed environment spanning a main hospital, a behavioral hospital, four radiology sites and 15 physician offices, was plagued by frequent MEDITECH EHR printing problems. Driver conflicts, reliance on Windows print servers (two servers) and a fleet of about 1,000 computers and 700 printers made installs and troubleshooting time‑consuming, so the hospital selected Vasion’s print management solution to address its MEDITECH-related printing challenges.
Vasion deployed a centralized, web‑based print management solution that enforces correct driver assignment, lets the service desk send install links for users to self‑install printers, and eliminates single points of failure. As a result, Princeton Community Hospital reports that MEDITECH print errors have been resolved, background print servers no longer require reboots for printing issues, remote installs are faster and printing continues during server outages—delivering markedly improved reliability and reduced service‑desk overhead.
