Xperia needed a seamless exchange of shipment and order data between its Xperia Comprehensiv ERP and carrier/shipping systems to support rate shopping at order entry, instant shipment visibility, and accurate shipping costs on its IBM System i platform. Varsity Logistics provided and maintains the Xperia Comprehensiv Interface and related ShipSoft solutions (ShipSoft‑Parcel, ShipSoft‑Freight, ShipPack, ShipSelect) to bridge order entry through delivery.

Varsity Logistics implemented an IBM System i–resident interface that pulls order header and detail data (pick number, quantities, ship‑to) from Xperia Comprehensiv, processes shipments via ShipSoft, and returns tracking numbers, package IDs, weight and freight charges to the ERP. The result is seamless order-to-shipment processing with rate shopping at entry, instant shipment status and POD access, accurate invoicing and analysis data, reduced manual input via visible/invisible processing modes, and improved speed, throughput and reliability from the co‑resident deployment.
