Waytek Celebrates Fifteen Years of Shipping Reliability with Varsity

Waytek, Inc., an electrical product manufacturer that ships more than 500 parcels per day via FedEx and UPS, needed a reliable, scalable shipping solution that could grow beyond a single shipping station and integrate with their VAI ERP. To meet those needs they turned to Varsity Logistics and its iSeries-based shipping suite, deploying ShipSoft-Parcel along with ShipTalk, SpeedWeigh and the FedEx Ground Carrier Compliance Kit to automate carrier selection, label printing and document/manifest production.

Varsity Logistics integrated ShipSoft-Parcel with Waytek’s VAI system and added SpeedWeigh at six shipping stations to automate weight capture, eliminate manual entry errors, and speed label generation. The result is seamless order-to-shipment processing across a 69,000 sq ft distribution center—reliably supporting 500+ parcels per day for over 15 years, cutting per-package handling time by seconds, reducing weight-entry mistakes, and requiring minimal maintenance; Waytek is now rolling out Varsity’s Export Document module to centralize international paperwork.
