Oracle JD Edwards needed a seamless way to exchange shipment and order data between JD Edwards World and carrier/shipping systems to enable rate shopping at order entry, shipment visibility, and accurate invoicing. Varsity Logistics provided the Oracle JD Edwards World Interface, integrating JD Edwards World with Varsity’s ShipSoft and ShipPack to address those challenges.

Varsity Logistics implemented the interface using the P4205 exit program and an externally described P‑List to map JD Edwards files (F4201 and F4211) to ShipSoft/ShipPack, pulling order header and detail data and returning tracking numbers, package IDs, weights and freight charges. The callable interface (visible or invisible modes) runs on IBM Power i for improved speed and reliability and delivered end‑to‑end order processing, instant shipment status and proof‑of‑delivery access, rate shopping at order entry, and accurate shipping costs for invoicing and analysis.
