International Business Systems (IBS) needed a reliable way to exchange shipment and order data between its IBS Application Software (ASW) and third-party shipping systems to support rate shopping, order-level shipping quotes, shipment visibility and accurate invoicing. Varsity Logistics was engaged to provide this integration, leveraging its IBS Interface and its ShipSoft and ShipPack solutions to bridge the two environments.

Varsity Logistics implemented the IBS Interface using a flexible P-List mapping approach to pull pick, quantity and ship‑to data from IBS and return tracking numbers, package IDs, weights and freight charges back into IBS. The integration runs on IBM System i and supports visible order processing in ShipSoft, enabling seamless order-to-delivery workflows, instant shipment status and proof-of-delivery access, rate shopping at order entry, and accurate shipping costs for invoicing and analysis—delivering improved speed, throughput and reliability for IBS customers.
