CommercialWare needed a reliable way to exchange shipment and order data between its CWDirect ERP and a shipping system to control shipment efficiency, choose the best carrier at point of sale, ensure rapid and accurate execution, and provide real‑time shipment visibility for customer service and finance. Varsity Logistics provided the CommercialWare CWDirect™ Interface paired with its ShipSoft products (ShipSoft‑Parcel and ShipSoft‑Freight) to address these requirements.

Varsity Logistics implemented a native IBM System i CWDirect interface that maps CWDirect files (FLMNULL, FLMNDLL) via an external P‑List into ShipSoft, pulling ship‑to and quantity data and returning tracking numbers, freight charges, labels, BoLs, manifests and HAZMAT docs back to CWDirect. The result is end‑to‑end order‑to‑ship processing with real‑time POS shipping selection, instant ship‑status and proof‑of‑delivery access for customer service, accurate shipping costs for invoicing and analysis, and improved throughput and reliability with fewer manual touchpoints.
