Servcorp, a global provider of serviced offices, virtual offices and IT services operating in 22 countries and 150+ locations, consolidated its web presence on a centralized Umbraco CMS to standardize and simplify content management for 22 localized sites. While the CMS worked well for authoring, delivering localized pages from a centralized platform introduced unacceptable latency as content was served from far-flung locations.

Servcorp deployed Varnish Enterprise as an in-house caching layer for the Umbraco CMS, making global content available closer to end users. The rollout was straightforward and immediately effective: Varnish cached up to 90% of content, cut load times by 30–70%, reduced latency by 28%, and runs on a compact server footprint (about eight servers), with plans to consolidate SSL into Varnish to reduce cost and complexity.
