MVRsimulation - Customer Case Study

MVRsimulation, a defense-focused simulator training provider, wanted to improve pilot performance review beyond what instructors can see from the outcome of a live exercise alone. They used Varjo’s XR-3 mixed reality headset with built-in eye tracking to capture subtle trainee actions and reactions during air-to-air and air-to-ground training.

Varjo and MVRsimulation implemented real-time eye-tracking visualization in MVRsimulation’s Virtual Reality Scene Generator software, allowing instructors to review eye gaze and head movement as color-coded 3D cones during debriefs. The result was a more quantitative and effective after-action review process that helps identify attention patterns, improve training insights, track progress, and support better learning outcomes without adding cognitive burden to the trainee.
