The customer, Trility, manages the wastewater network for Rotorua Lakes Council and was faced with the challenge of processing a significant amount of annual CCTV inspection data. Traditional manual methods of reviewing footage and transferring data to their asset management system were prohibitively time-consuming and resource-intensive. Trility reached out to vendor VAPAR to find a smarter solution using its AI-powered cloud platform.

VAPAR implemented its solution to automate the condition assessment from pipe CCTV footage. The platform processed over 1,000 inspections and 52,000 meters of pipeline, identifying more than 20,000 features and defects. This allowed Trility to complete the work in weeks instead of months, processing data 3-4 times faster than before and enabling a seamless, automated transfer of results into their asset management software.
