Case Study: TRILITY accelerates wastewater inspections with VAPAR

A VAPAR Case Study

Preview of the TRILITY Case Study

How TRILITY has optimised the flow of CCTV data from pipe inspections to planning decisions for the Rotorua Lakes Council wastewater network

TRILITY, which manages wastewater services for Rotorua Lakes Council in New Zealand, needed a better way to handle about 60 km of annual CCTV inspections for its gravity sewer network. Reviewing footage manually, adjusting spreadsheets, and formatting data for upload into InfoAsset Manager would have taken significant time and resources, so TRILITY turned to VAPAR and its VAPAR.Solutions platform for a smarter process.

VAPAR implemented bulk AI processing for over 1,000 pipe inspections totaling more than 52,000 metres, automatically identifying and categorizing more than 20,000 pipe features and defects. The team also built a one-click export into InfoAsset Manager, cutting the work from months to weeks and making the process 3-4 times faster while maintaining data quality and TRILITY’s asset management methods.
