Bega Valley Shire Council, responsible for maintaining water and sewer assets for 29,000 people, faced the challenge of manually assessing the condition of its extensive pipeline network. This process was extremely time-consuming and costly. The council engaged contractor Interflow, which used the VAPAR AI-powered cloud platform to automate the analysis of pipe CCTV footage and design a rehabilitation program.

Using VAPAR, Interflow processed over 3,500 inspection videos, covering 85,000 metres of pipeline. The platform automatically identified over 175,000 pipe features and defects, which enabled the team to deliver a targeted cleaning, lining, and sealing program for over 500 assets. This solution provided Bega Valley Shire Council with direct access to all inspection data and reports from a single platform, resulting in significant time savings and a more strategic, data-driven approach to asset management.
