GiConnect develops real-time Coronavirus tracking application using Vantiq.

GiConnect Technologies (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., a division of Winwin Soft focused on IoT, AI, and enterprise information services, needed a fast way to build a real-time Coronavirus prevention and tracking application during the early COVID-19 outbreak. The challenge was to combine data from facial recognition, thermal cameras, location sensors, wearable devices, and other technologies into a distributed, edge-based system with strong privacy protections and minimal downtime.

Using Vantiq’s real-time event-driven, low-code platform and Collaboration tools, GiConnect built the application in less than two weeks. The solution enabled real-time outbreak monitoring, alerted building staff and medical personnel when intervention was needed, and helped reduce transmission risk by spotting potential infections sooner. Vantiq also gave GiConnect a flexible foundation they could later evolve into a broader smart building application.
