A Vanco Case Study
Glastonbury Public Schools in Connecticut, a district of about 6,000 students, needed a better way to reduce cash handling, save staff time, and simplify payment and cafeteria operations. Vanco’s RevTrak online payment system and Food Service Solutions point-of-sale and online meal payment tools were already in place, but the district wanted flexible, reliable systems that could adapt to new uses and continued to perform well over time.
With Vanco’s RevTrak, the district expanded online payments beyond adult education to cover summer camp, iPad insurance, AP testing, parking passes, and school store merchandise, while Food Service Solutions helped manage cafeteria sales and online meal payments. The result was less cash in schools, faster lunch lines, easier reporting, and strong customer satisfaction from staff and parents. Nearly two-thirds of parents use the meal portal, and the district says the tools continue to save considerable staff time and fit its needs through responsive support and frequent updates.
