Pekin Insurance, a U.S.-based property/casualty, health, and life insurer, was struggling with antiquated mainframe-based document generation that required IT help for even small form changes. To modernize its customer communications operations, Pekin turned to ValueMomentum and its Customer Communications Management Services team, using SmartCOMM enterprise CCM with integrations to OnBase, MuleSoft, and Guidewire.
ValueMomentum helped Pekin deploy a cloud-first CCM platform, reconcile and migrate more than 3,000 legacy forms, and automate the generation of policy, claims, billing, and other correspondence. As a result, document turnaround time dropped from nearly three weeks to less than one week, improving process efficiency by 67% and reducing technology costs by 29%, while also cutting new form authoring time by 15% and cosmetic defects by over 10%.
