ERIE Insurance Launches a Customized Commercial Lines Agent Portal

Erie Insurance partnered with ValueMomentum to improve the commercial lines agent experience and speed up quoting across multiple products without disrupting core systems. The insurer needed a consolidated, account-based quoting process that would make it easier for agents to do business and help the company grow while protecting its legacy environment.

ValueMomentum used the Mendix platform to build a customized commercial lines agent portal, integrating with CGI Ratabase, OpenText Exstream, and IBM tools in an agile, phased rollout. The new solution cut quote times from days to about 10 minutes, reduced quote/bind cycles from 3–5 days to less than an hour, and supported about 25% premium growth across all three products, while also accelerating time to market for new lines by 50%.
