Qantas launches BYOD in-flight entertainment on all domestic flights with Valtech

Qantas, a leading long distance airline, engaged Valtech to enhance their new Q Streaming in-flight entertainment system. Their challenge was to create a more personal and adaptable platform by adopting a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) model, allowing passengers to use their own familiar devices for entertainment.

Valtech developed a solution in the form of an app for iOS, Android, and web. This allowed passengers to seamlessly connect to the plane's Wi-Fi and consume media on their personal devices during domestic flights. As a result, Valtech's implementation significantly reduced the need for heavy and expensive in-seat technology across all domestic Australian flights.
