FarmFacts launches NEXT Marketplace in 5 months with Valtech

FarmFacts GmbH, a company providing digital farming solutions, faced the challenge of digitizing agricultural trade to remain competitive. They needed to develop NEXT Marketplace, a future-oriented extension for their NEXT Farming farm management system, to allow farmers to order supplies directly within the software. To achieve this, they partnered with vendor Valtech.

Valtech implemented an agile development process with multiple teams to deliver an open trading platform and a new transaction system. They chose a modern tech stack featuring the Quarkus Java framework and an API-based headless approach for a future-proof system. The project was completed in just five months, making FarmFacts the first in its industry to combine farm management with input procurement, significantly improving efficiency for farmers through an intuitive platform.
