Danish Scout Council gets 145,000 Woop downloads with Valtech

The Danish Scout Council faced a challenge in getting children and young people outdoors for healthy physical activity. Their existing Woop app, a digital treasure hunt tool, was outdated, unstable, and difficult to update after eight years, despite a growing demand from a diverse user base. They partnered with Valtech to revitalize the application.

Valtech redesigned and developed a new version of the Woop app, making it more stable and user-friendly with improved GPS and battery optimization. The solution enabled easier creation of outdoor task sets and integrated content from partner organizations. Following the relaunch, Valtech helped the app achieve over 145,000 downloads, more than 10,000 created task sets, and an average user session of 25 minutes, successfully getting tens of thousands of children to explore nature.
