DATEV eG, a major German business software and IT services provider, needed a more flexible way to manage changing business models in a VUCA environment. As it shifted from an on-premise model toward the cloud, it faced new drivers for costs, pricing, and revenue planning, making traditional controlling processes harder to use effectively. DATEV used Valsight to support driver-based planning and scenario simulations.

With Valsight, DATEV introduced multiple data perspectives across product, business model, and target group views to better reflect transformation phases and manage complexity. The driver-based scenario simulations improved the representation of decision-relevant data and enabled more effective corporate performance management, while highly consolidated data made it possible to simulate complex scenarios. DATEV said Valsight has become a crucial part of its controlling tool stack, though the case study did not provide specific quantitative impact figures.
