BLANCO, an internationally established premium brand for the kitchen water space, was facing a major shift from manufacturer to system provider. This created a more complex controlling environment with many new drivers, interdisciplinary dependencies, fluctuating costs and supply chains, and the need to bring sustainability into corporate performance management. The company also needed a planning solution that could be implemented and used in self-service with minimal IT burden, and it turned to Valsight.
Valsight introduced a driver-based planning approach for BLANCO’s multi-year planning, supported by CTcon Management Consultants and rolled out via a proof of concept. The solution replaced the old Excel-based process with finely cubed data and live scenario simulation, allowing BLANCO to calculate scenarios in fractions of a second instead of spending hours or a full day. As a result, planning became more agile and transparent, cluster-based planning simplified the process, and the shared understanding of the driver model led to strong acceptance and goals that were not only met but surpassed.
