Valmet Valo Teamwork’s Automated Governance Saves Time and Money

Valmet, a global technology company with over 14,000 employees, moved from Skype to Microsoft Teams in early 2020 but found governance for creating new Teams groups and SharePoint sites slow and costly. Every request generated a ticket to their Microsoft partner and incurred fees and delays across time zones, so Valmet explored Valo’s solution, Valo Teamwork, to address the scale and cost of their governance challenge.

Valo, via its Valo Teamwork product, automated the governance and provisioning process—providing a single dashboard for Microsoft 365 collaboration and 24/7 automated group/site creation. The change eliminated per-ticket fees, cut manual work and backlogs, and sped setup from hours or days to minutes; given Valmet’s roughly 1,400 Teams requests in 2020 at about six minutes each, this equates to roughly 140 hours of processing time avoided, along with a smoother global user experience.
