Valmet Transition from On-Premises Intranet Solution to Cloud Environment

Valmet, a global machinery and automation supplier with over 12,000 users across 100+ locations, needed to replace a costly on-premises intranet with a modern, mobile-friendly cloud solution to simplify the digital working environment and tool management. Valmet selected Valo and its Valo Intranet product to deliver a ready-to-go, cloud-based intranet that supported global communications and mobile access.

Valo implemented the Intranet-in-a-Box solution, migrating content to the cloud with Sharegate, adding minimal customizations (layout tweaks, a news lift-up and location-targeted news) and using Microsoft Teams and partner Blue Meteorite for agile project communications. The Valo deployment reduced intranet resource needs and operational infrastructure, improved mobile access so teams now publish more than five news articles daily, and the project beat its schedule and budget while driving wider Microsoft Teams adoption.
