Scanfil, an international contract manufacturer (251–1,000 users) based in Finland, faced the challenge of merging two separate intranet platforms after its merger with PartnerTech AB. The company needed an interactive, SharePoint-based intranet to unify communications and encourage two‑way engagement rather than serving as an archive. Scanfil chose Valo and its Valo Intranet to deliver this group‑level, social intranet.

Valo installed the Valo Intranet on Scanfil’s own servers with all add-ons (except multilingual), providing a fast, out‑of‑the‑box deployment without heavy customization. The solution consolidated tools into a single view, enabled mobile access (removing the need to log into PCs), increased employee interaction and bottom‑up communication, reduced reliance on IT for routine tasks, and earned positive user feedback across Scanfil’s user base.
