Royal BAM Group Valo connects all parts of the business on a single platform

Royal BAM Group needed a new global intranet to strengthen internal communications and unite 20,000 employees across 10 operating companies under its “One BAM” philosophy, while preserving each OpCo’s cultural identity and local-language needs. Valo (implemented as Valo Intranet by Valo’s Premium Partner I-You in collaboration with Blue Meteorite) was chosen because it runs on SharePoint Online and complements the company’s Office 365 environment.

Valo delivered a quick-start, mobile-friendly BAM Connect intranet with a reusable three-layer framework (Group / Country / OpCo), multi-lingual content (English, Dutch, French, German), a people-finder and self-service editing; a Valo Fresh subscription ensures O365 updates are applied automatically. The first five OpCos are live, the platform is cost-effective for 20,000+ users, and Valo has measurably improved cross-OpCo collaboration, content discoverability and alignment with the One BAM strategy.
