Restel Ltd, Finland’s largest hotel and restaurant operator with about 240 restaurants, 45 hotels and more than 5,000 employees, faced a communication challenge across a geographically fragmented organization. To ensure that information reaches everyone — including kitchen and frontline staff — Restel implemented an intranet built using Valo’s ready-made Valo concept.

Valo delivered a targeted, easy-to-search intranet with a practical people directory and centralized content editing, so information is updated in one place rather than across multiple systems. The Valo solution made location- and role-specific content easy to find, cut administrative overhead by eliminating duplicate updates, encouraged daily employee visits, moved document collaboration out of email and network drives, and is now actively used across Restel’s entire workforce.
