Karl Mayer, the market-leading textile machinery manufacturer, needed a modern intranet to unite its global workforce and replace an exclusive legacy system that served only a few German sites and created a “two-tiered” knowledge gap. Valo, working with GIS AG and Karl Mayer’s IT and comms teams, launched the new myKARL intranet within six months and rolled it out across sites and languages. The solution centralized news and resources, encouraged employee storytelling, and drove engagement: myKARL now attracts 5,000–6,000 homepage visits per week, 90% of respondents rate it “good” or “very good,” and visits have increased by about 50% since launch.
