Elenia’s intranet boosts transparency and sociability

Elenia, a Finnish energy company formed after a 2012 acquisition, needed to replace a lost parent-company intranet and quickly create a more open, interactive digital workplace while multiple IT projects were ongoing. To accelerate delivery and support social collaboration and two-way communication, Elenia selected Valo’s ready-to-go Intranet package as the foundation for its new social intranet.

Valo delivered a social intranet with open workspaces and a wiki-based knowledge repository, migrating over a hundred Word work instructions into editable wiki sites and integrating real-time data (incoming calls and service level) to office info TVs instead of the previous manual updates a couple times a day. The result was increased transparency and sociability across Elenia, faster collaboration and internal communication, and a rapid rollout made possible by Valo’s prebuilt solution.
