City of Lahti Intranet brings diverse workforce together

The City of Lahti, a Finnish municipal organisation of about 2,500 employees responsible for services from environmental planning to healthcare and education, needed an intranet that would unite a diverse, often mobile workforce during a cloud IT migration. They chose Valo and its cloud-based Valo Intranet to provide a mobile-accessible platform for internal communication and collaboration.

Valo implemented Valo Intranet with the “Fresh” subscription and Office 365 integration, adding Yammer, blogs and enhanced people search to make tools and expertise easily reachable on mobile. The result was faster, more collaborative working across departments—almost 400 workspaces created—elimination of large manual updates, and clear time and cost savings for the City of Lahti.
