Södra Cell Mörrum boosts pulp production to 425,000 tons annually with Valmet

Södra Cell Mörrum, a pulp mill in Sweden, sought to increase its annual pulp production from 380,000 tons to approximately 420,000 tons. To meet this challenge, the mill partnered with Valmet for a major wood handling upgrade.

Valmet implemented a complete new woodroom solution, which included two debarking and chipping lines, bark handling, and chip conveying systems. This investment was part of a larger project that successfully increased the mill's production capacity to about 425,000 tons annually, achieving the customer's goal.
