PT. Bukit Muria Jaya, a paper mill in Indonesia, faced a challenge with the nip rolls in its PM 3 press section, which had been running for over ten years without servicing. A lack of spare rolls and a required roll change every two to four weeks created a critical production need. The customer therefore asked vendor Valmet to perform a full reconditioning of its SymZS Nip Rolls within a strict two-week turnaround time.

Valmet met this challenge through careful planning and project handling at its service center in Cikarang. By selecting a larger spare part package to reduce delivery risk, Valmet successfully completed the full reconditioning, testing, and delivery within the two-week target. The solution eliminated the risk of reduced production quality and ensured the reconditioned roll runs well, leading to plans for a subsequent spare roll project.
