The customer, Oji Paper, a Japanese producer of printing, writing, and packaging paper, was challenged with finding the fastest fiber morphology measurement for research and quality control. They needed to improve laboratory work efficiency by making sample preparation easier and to expand their product application portfolio with advanced fiber measurements. To meet this challenge, they turned to Valmet and the Valmet Fiber Image Analyzer (Valmet FS5).

The solution provided faster measurement speeds, easier sample treatment, and an automated consistency control function.
