Nippon Dynawave Packaging boosts pulp capacity to 525 ADMT/d with Valmet

Nippon Dynawave Packaging, a liquid packaging board and market pulp producer, faced a declining local customer base for its wet lap pulp and needed a product that could be shipped globally. To adapt, they partnered with Valmet to invest in a new pulp drying and baling line and a pulper feed system to increase flexibility and production capacity.

Valmet implemented a complete pulp drying and baling line solution, which included new features like fold-up hatches for maintenance and an automatic pulper feed system for safety and efficiency. The project was successfully started up in Q4 2020, enabling Nippon Dynawave Packaging to supply a global customer base, shift economically between fibers, and maximize its pulp production capacity of 525 ADMT/d. Valmet provided extensive technical support and cooperation throughout the challenging project.
