Klingele modernizes Nova Campina with Valmet in a R$1 billion Brazil investment

Klingele, an international manufacturer of paper and packaging, faced the challenge of modernizing its recently acquired Nova Campina mill in Brazil as part of a major, multi-phase investment plan. To advance its digitalization and achieve greater process control for a new energy island, the company selected Valmet to implement the Valmet DNA Distributed Control System (DCS).

Valmet provided its cutting-edge Valmet DNA automation system and Valmet DNAe User Interface to control the new boiler and steam turbine. The solution enabled real-time monitoring, accurate diagnostics, and quick responses to failures, which increased the plant's reliability, safety, and productivity. This successful first phase of the project laid the foundation for Klingele's subsequent goals of quality improvement and increased production capacity.
