Klabin launches 460,000-tonne board line with Valmet

Klabin, a major Brazilian paperboard producer, faced the challenge of enhancing its production flexibility and capabilities for its Puma II Project. To achieve this, they partnered with vendor Valmet for an integrated solution that included a new BCTMP line and a fiberline.

Valmet implemented its comprehensive technology, including the Valmet Continuous Cooking solution and advanced automation controls, which were integrated with the new PM 28 board machine. This solution successfully started up on schedule, resulting in optimized process performance, high-quality production, and the operational flexibility to produce a wide variety of board grades. The project established a reliable platform for Klabin to deliver high-quality packaging board to the market.
