Kipaş Kağıt restarts PM 1 in 3 months with Valmet after earthquake damage

Kipaş Kağıt's mill in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey, was severely damaged by the devastating earthquakes in February 2023, which harmed the machine hall and its board machine PM 1. The customer needed to urgently restart production and contacted Valmet for assistance with the extensive realignment and repair of the entire machine line.

Valmet responded quickly, evaluating the situation remotely before traveling to the site to realign the entire machine line, including rolls, headbox, and winder, after establishing a new reference line. The project required wide cooperation across Valmet's teams. As a result, Kipaş Kağıt PM 1 was successfully restarted in May 2023, securing the future of the mill and its employees, and strengthening the relationship between Kipaş Kağıt and Valmet.
